Abstract

Malnutrition is a public health problem that affects millions of people around the world, especially children in the critical stages of their development. This state of inadequate nutrition can have a profound impact on psychomotor development, which refers to the growth and maturation of motor and cognitive skills.
OBJECTIVE: Improve access to health services and Promote nutritional education, Stimulate gross motor skills, promote fine motor skills, improve sensory perception, develop coordination and balance.
METHODS: Data collections were obtained from databases such as Scielo, Redalyc, Google Scholar.
Vancouver was used as a citation and bibliographic reference manager.
CONCLUSION: Optimal psychomotor development is essential for children to acquire the skills necessary for their daily life, fostering their autonomy and self-confidence. Investment in adequate nutrition and psychomotor stimulation programs is essential to ensure healthy growth and integral development.
